We also remember every veteran and every active-duty service member who has defended and continues to defend the freedoms we enjoy today.

🎸 Queen Builds a Bridge Through Music (1986)
On July 27, 1986, Queen made history by performing before nearly 80,000 fans at Budapest’s Népstadion in Hungary. More than just another stop on The Magic Tour, it became one of the first major Western rock concerts staged behind the Iron Curtain.
During the performance, Freddie Mercury surprised the audience by singing part of a traditional Hungarian folk song in their native language—a gesture that brought the crowd to its feet and demonstrated how music can bridge cultures, languages, and even political divides.

On July 27, 1996, the Spice Girls’ debut single “Wannabe” reached No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart, launching one of the biggest pop culture phenomena of the 1990s.
